Overview of the Role:

This position is situated within the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) team, which plays a vital role in supporting the operational success of the State of Montana. The HRIS team collaborates with other agency human resources professionals to deliver innovative solutions and services that enhance the experience of state employees.

In this role, you will provide technical analytical support and application development for payroll and various human resources modules within the State's Oracle PeopleSoft HCM system. Responsibilities include troubleshooting user issues, designing applications, developing reports and interfaces, and implementing new functionalities and custom solutions. If you thrive on solving intricate technical challenges and delivering exceptional customer service, this position may be a great fit for you.

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in computer technology or a related discipline, along with two or more years of experience in application development and analysis. Familiarity with the PeopleSoft Toolset, including PeopleTools, SQR, SQL, Application Designer, Application Engine, PeopleCode, XML Publisher, and REST integration is advantageous. Alternative combinations of education and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis.

Key Competencies:

Proficiency in technical analysis and programming support for complex computerized systems; Strong communication skills to effectively engage with technical team members and users with varying levels of technical knowledge; Up-to-date knowledge and skills in technology, troubleshooting, system design, and development; and Leadership and planning capabilities for project management.
