  • Accountable for accurately handling customer transactions, addressing inquiries, showcasing superior customer service skills, and identifying chances to strengthen current banking relationships while reaching out to potential clients.
  • The specialist will also be tasked with establishing new deposit accounts, conducting account maintenance, initiating sales-oriented discussions, and assisting with loan product inquiries and application processing.
  • Efficiently processes customer transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and general ledger entries.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service in alignment with the WOW Customer Service standards while actively seeking cross-selling opportunities.
  • Maintains balance in the teller cash drawer, recycler, and vault on a daily basis, ensuring discrepancies remain within acceptable limits.
  • Identifies service-to-sales opportunities during customer interactions and transaction processing. Conducts account openings and maintenance. Aids in application processing.
  • Complies with all bank policies and federal regulations, including but not limited to Currency Transaction Reporting, Check Cashing Policy, Confidentiality of Customer Information, Cash Management, CIP (Customer Information Program), and BSA (Bank Secrecy Act).
  • Stays informed about the products and services offered by the bank.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education/Training:
  • College Degree or a minimum of one year of experience in a banking role.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with all levels of staff and diverse customer types.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability on Saturdays.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
Experience:
  • Preferred: At least one year of experience in a banking position.
Required Certification/Licenses:
  • NMLS Preferred; Valid Driver's License.
Travel Requirements:
  • Flexible schedule with localized travel within the bank's operational area.
Physical and Mental Job Requirements:
  • Typically sits or stands for extended periods at a desk and/or computer.
  • Requires viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.
  • Ability to convey and receive detailed information through oral and written communication.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
Working Environment

Climate-controlled and adequately illuminated professional office setting. Capable of performing essential functions and duties through the use of appropriate computer and general office equipment.
