Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Life Skills Coordinator to join our team at the Center For Youth. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating life skills programming and parenting education curriculum, as well as providing direct supervision and support to residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crisis intervention and response
  • Conduct on-going assessments of participants' life skills and parenting education needs
  • Implementation of life skills training and parenting education curriculum
  • Incorporating CYS philosophy and effective teaching approaches
  • Transporting program participants, as required and consistent with agency policies
  • Possesses sound problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Maintains clear professional boundaries
  • Understands and promotes strength-based, trauma-informed service delivery (youth leadership, asset development)
  • Is knowledgeable on managing group dynamics and can demonstrate various intervention techniques
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date client records

Qualifications

A minimum of an Associate's Degree in human services, education, or a related field, and one year of experience or an equivalent combination of education, employment, and life experience. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
