Position Overview
In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development and finalization of the System Architecture by providing timely insights. Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating behavioral models using System Verilog to accurately represent analog behavior in a Mixed Signal Design environment.
- Establishing necessary flows and verification environments based on a comprehensive understanding of System Architecture.
- Developing Sequences, Drivers, Monitors, and Scoreboards in UVM.
- Simplifying AMS models and substituting them with System Verilog constructs/models to optimize simulation durations.
- Implementing scoreboards to facilitate self-testing in test benches, automating regressions at both sub-system (circuits) and chip levels for mixed signal products.
- Engaging in detailed study and understanding of circuit design.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will also involve:
- Understanding the functionality and timing requirements of circuitry.
- Developing patterns and regressions to enhance function coverage for all DC-DC voltage regulator architectures and features.
- Providing support to design engineers, debugging failures, managing bug tracking, and ensuring coverage closure.
- Creating and maintaining test benches and test vectors utilizing digital and analog simulation tools.
- Formulating verification plans from functionality specifications in collaboration with architects.
- Working with cross-functional teams to define and develop DFT patterns.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess an MSEE with 6-8 years (or BSEE with 8-10 years) of relevant industry experience, particularly in AMS design. Exceptional candidates may have their experience considered in lieu of formal education.
Required skills include:
- Experience in digital and mixed-signal verification, including VerilogAMS and Verilog/SystemVerilog languages, modeling, and AMS simulators.
- Familiarity with UVM testbench creation, writing, and implementation.
- Proficiency in developing scripts (Shell, Perl, Python, etc.), with Cadence SKILL language being a plus.
- Experience with AMS behavioral top-level modeling and verification methodologies to enhance simulation efficiency, understanding the accuracy/speed tradeoff and interfaces.
Candidates must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision while collaborating closely with the team. Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and a passion for the work are essential.
Experience with SystemVerilog Assertion (SVA) is advantageous.
