Job OverviewPosition Summary:

ASRC Federal Holding Company is looking for a seasoned Systems Engineering Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting advanced missile defense initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Systems Engineering Specialist, you will:
  • Deliver expert engineering solutions for intricate technical challenges.
  • Provide technical guidance to team members engaged in diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
  • Engage in systems design across all phases including planning, engineering, integration, development, and testing.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of missile defense protocols and systems.
  • Design, develop, and implement sophisticated hardware, software, and database applications, utilizing advanced techniques to address system requirements.
  • Coordinate and integrate systems-related requirements to meet operational objectives.
  • Make informed recommendations based on analytical findings.
  • Oversee the development and coordination of contract deliverables and documentation.
  • Prepare management plans and reports, leading team efforts in fulfilling contract obligations.
  • Support a software development environment using MS Visual Studio within an agile framework, focusing on web applications developed with React, Typescript, Javascript, .NET C#, Entity Framework, and MS SQL Server.
  • Administer Windows Servers and Linux installations, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Manage SCCM for software installation and patching processes.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of Group Policy Objects (GPO).
  • Support the maintenance of a multi-tiered Windows Active Directory environment.
  • Collaborate with system administrators and cyber engineers to implement security evaluations.
  • Participate in design, development, testing, and documentation throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Work closely with government and contractor personnel to identify and implement hardware requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining build and deployment pipelines.
  • Engage in daily scrum meetings to ensure project alignment.
  • Collaborate with assurance and cybersecurity teams to support testing and risk management.
  • Evaluate and identify new technologies for integration across development teams.
  • Ensure compliance with software development standards and manage the deployment of approved packages.
  • Troubleshoot production issues related to software applications.
  • Contribute to the development of user manuals and technical documentation.
  • Address security risks identified through automated scanning and external assessments.
Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Active Secret clearance is mandatory.
  • Experience in remote software engineering within an agile framework.
  • Familiarity with CMM/CMMI/Agile methodologies.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and proactivity in daily tasks.
  • Must hold and maintain an active CompTIA Security + CE certification.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in classified environments is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Windows Active Directory, Windows Server administration, GPOs, SCCM, Microsoft Azure, and AWS.
  • Prior experience with Linux systems is a plus.
  • Experience supporting production releases at the end of sprints.
  • Familiarity with GitLab for code repository and pipeline management.
  • Experience with Fortify and Sonarqube for code quality assurance.
  • Experience with deliverable objectives including product documentation and deployment orchestration.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Entity Framework in a code-first development approach.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 25 years of relevant experience.
