National Sales Director

About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned sales leader to drive business growth and expansion as our National Business Director.
This strategic position involves overseeing a team of area business directors and field sales personnel, fostering key partnerships, and implementing effective sales strategies to boost revenue and market share. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of business plans while adhering to industry regulations and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Management: Develop and execute a national business strategy aligned with corporate goals, create a culture of accountability, and empower your team to achieve success.
- Sales and Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing department to create promotional campaigns, drive brand awareness, and customer engagement.
- Account Oversight: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, healthcare providers, hospitals, and health systems.
- Compliance: Ensure all business activities adhere to relevant pharmaceutical regulations, industry standards, and ethical guidelines.
- Budget Oversight and Resource Management: Monitor expenses, track financial performance, and implement cost-saving measures when necessary.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and market landscape for presentation to senior management.
Requirements
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, market dynamics, and regulatory environment.
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record of successfully developing and executing sales and/or marketing strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, analytical mindset, CRM system familiarity, negotiation capabilities, and business-to-business contracting experience.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business, sciences, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Experience: 20+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech sales, with 7+ years in leadership or management roles, and extensive (10+ years) Inpatient (hospital or health system) management experience required.
What We Offer
- Salary Range: $220,000 to $240,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
