Position: Medical Receptionist


OI Infusion is in search of a meticulous and efficient Medical Receptionist. The successful candidate will handle a variety of administrative and clinical responsibilities essential for the smooth operation of our healthcare facility.

  • Schedule: Full Time
  • Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage lab samples in accordance with established protocols, ensuring precise labeling and documentation.
  • Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and other healthcare professionals, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided.
  • Follow up on referral appointments and keep patients informed about their referral status.
  • Record and monitor patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
  • Accurately document all findings in the patient's electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Oversee and maintain inventory of medical and office supplies, placing orders as necessary.
  • Ensure proper storage of supplies, adhering to expiration dates.
  • Welcome and assist patients upon arrival, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Handle phone inquiries and relay messages to appropriate staff members.
  • Assist with patient check-in and check-out, verifying insurance details and collecting copayments.
  • Maintain accurate and current patient records within the EMR system.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in healthcare administration or medical assisting is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare administrative or medical assistant role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and office software is essential.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities are necessary.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing stressful situations professionally.
  • Understanding of medical terminology and basic healthcare procedures is beneficial.
