Position Summary

Ensure that all contractual and regulatory quality standards are established and communicated for assigned clients and projects. Collaborate with all departments to maintain control over incoming, in-process, and final product quality.

  • Advise on more efficient and quality-driven processes.
  • Serve as the customer liaison for quality-related concerns and problem resolution.
  • Work alongside sales, procurement, production, quoting, and contract management to develop quality protocols that meet client specifications.
  • Engage with suppliers to rectify issues related to purchased materials.
  • Support manufacturing through root cause analysis and corrective and preventive measures to address product issues.
  • Assist in defining and monitoring the quality management system and foster a culture that emphasizes quality processes.
  • Oversee personnel and processes to ensure adherence to company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide daily leadership and direction to team members.
Key Responsibilities
  • Train, guide, and mentor employees on work processes and company policies.
  • Regulate workflow to maximize capacity and efficiency within the department.
  • Ensure projects and assignments align with company practices, policies, and regulations.
  • Interact with and support all internal and external stakeholders, promoting positive relations and communication.
  • Research and troubleshoot issues and corrective actions to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Encourage individual accountability for quality work and workmanship standards.
  • Monitor departmental performance objectives.
  • Participate in periodic audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Contribute to the recruitment, selection, and development of operations personnel while maintaining discipline and personnel relations.
  • Provide input for hiring, terminations, transfers, salary adjustments, and promotions.
  • Adhere to the General Requirements of Team Members.
  • Manage the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in the work area.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental manufacturing and assembly processes, along with work measurement and standards.
  • Proficient in technical writing with strong documentation skills; attention to detail is essential.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to plan, resolve issues effectively, and set priorities.
  • Familiarity with DOE, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills in email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Microsoft Project, and MRP/ERP systems.
  • Proven ability to communicate with clients and represent the company positively.
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills, along with demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and a high level of energy.
  • Professional demeanor with problem-solving and prioritization capabilities.
Experience/Education/Training/Certification
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the relevant functional area.
