This role involves working a weekend night shift, where you will be an essential part of our operations, ensuring that we produce top-quality components for the aerospace sector.

As a Materials Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving, unpacking, and organizing incoming materials efficiently.
  • Identifying, packaging, and dispatching finished products to guarantee timely delivery.
  • Participating in cross-training for Quality Assurance, utilizing various inspection tools to verify that components meet our rigorous quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Distributing incoming materials to specified locations.
  • Properly disposing of all used packaging materials.
  • Conducting regular maintenance on equipment such as dock locks and overhead cranes.
  • Utilizing hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace using 5S principles.
  • Employing dot peen stamping and barcode scanning for product identification.
  • Ensuring traceability of products throughout the process.

A successful candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, a commitment to safety, and an understanding of precision and quality in their work. You should possess excellent communication abilities, a willingness to learn, and the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

All candidates will undergo a pre-employment skills assessment and must successfully complete an eye and color vision examination. Training will also be provided for operating a fork truck.

Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art material handling and inspection technologies, providing a modern work environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in computer systems and technology.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with dimensional gauging tools, particularly calipers and micrometers.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Essential Skills:

  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
  • Willingness to learn to operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and interpret its results.
