Qualifications:
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or a related field is required. A graduate degree is preferred.
  • Certifications: First Aid, CPR, and Emergency Behavior Intervention certifications are essential.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant experience in crisis intervention is required, with a preference for experience in child welfare and case management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Manage a caseload in line with agency policies and licensing standards.
  • Engage in professional development through workshops and seminars.
  • Maintain regular contact with children and families to assess their needs.
  • Provide support to crisis line staff, ensuring effective responses to crisis situations.
  • Involve children and their sponsors actively in the casework process.
  • Document progress towards service goals and positive outcomes.
  • Compile and maintain accurate records in accordance with agency policies.
  • Participate in weekly case discussions with colleagues and contracted staff.
  • Be available for evening, weekend, and holiday work as required.
  • Implement safety protocols during emergencies.
  • Uphold confidentiality and professional standards at all times.

Additional Duties:
  • Coordinate referrals and service planning for your caseload.
  • Act as a liaison with stakeholders, including legal representatives.
  • Respond to crisis calls and provide necessary support.
  • Engage in regular supervision sessions with your supervisor.
  • Travel between various locations as needed.
  • Meet all deadlines set by supervisors and federal partners.
  • Support the recruitment and encouragement of foster parents.

Requirements:
  • Pass pre-employment drug screenings and maintain compliance throughout employment.
  • Provide proof of work eligibility when requested.
  • Pass criminal background checks as required.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Respond sensitively to the cultural and socio-economic characteristics of the service population.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and service providers.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed to maintain a safe environment.
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining professionalism.
  • Demonstrate computer literacy to fulfill job responsibilities.
  • Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
