**Position Overview:**
The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing teams of skilled Mechanical Assemblers and Welders. This role provides direction and leadership for assigned manufacturing operations, focusing on achieving goals related to safety, quality, cost, and timely delivery of products while fostering effective working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Supervise, coordinate, and maintain schedules for the manufacturing, assembly, and refurbishment of gearboxes and related products according to established priorities.
  • Plan and monitor employee skill utilization, labor hours, materials, and workflow to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Organize and assign tasks, providing guidance to employees to achieve manufacturing objectives. Establish efficient work hours and schedule overtime as necessary.
  • Identify and report manufacturing challenges, implementing corrective actions as needed. Assist in developing and executing Continuous Improvement initiatives utilizing LEAN principles.
  • Coordinate manufacturing activities with functional area managers and supervisors (Quality, Engineering, Customer Service, Accounting, etc.) to meet or exceed delivery schedules and customer requirements.
  • Provide necessary training to all assigned manufacturing personnel in accordance with skill requirements for each position. Track and monitor training compliance across all teams.
  • Ensure workforce compliance with all manufacturing, quality, and safety regulations, providing feedback on job performance.
  • Ensure the proper use of safety equipment and continuously monitor work areas for hazardous conditions and unsafe practices.
  • Monitor work areas for cleanliness, organization, and good housekeeping practices.
  • Participate in the specification and justification for new equipment when requested, assisting in cost analysis and benefits to justify equipment purchases.

**Required Skills and Experience:**
  • High School education equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of industrial manufacturing experience, preferably related to mechanical power transmissions or rotating equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Key attributes include the ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy. Must be able to lead and work as part of a team.
  • Excellent computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office software), along with strong written and verbal communication skills. LEAN experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001:2015 standards is required.

**Pay Range:** $87K - $101K
