Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively collaborate with healthcare team members to achieve optimal patient care.
  • Participate in team huddles and promote effective communication with staff, patients, and families.
  • Prepare patient electronic health records and other necessary forms prior to appointments.
  • Screen patients based on standard questionnaires and utilize automated programs to facilitate the patient experience.
  • Perform data entry for population health metrics and health promotion.
  • Assist in the orientation of new personnel and maintain a safe and orderly department environment.
  • Perform administrative functions, including scheduling appointments and preparing correspondence to patients.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • One of the following: graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by CAAHEP, ABHES, or a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant within the last 3 years.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) hands-on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • English Language Requirement: able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
