Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant II to join our team at Eastern Virginia Medical School. As a Medical Assistant II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians and nurses with patient care, including triage and stocking supplies.
  • Prepare patients for provider visits and assist providers with procedures.
  • Responsible for front and back-office procedures, including scheduling appointments, checking-in and out patients.
  • Maintain clean, well-equipped examination rooms and sterilize instruments.
  • Stock examination rooms and triage area with medical supplies.
  • Check EMR tasks daily and perform departmental employee respirator fit testing.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma plus successful completion of a Medical Assistant program.
  • Certification (CMA or RMA) and completion of BLS class.
  • At least one year of experience in a fast-paced medical office/clinical area.
