Medical Assistant

At Sentara, we're seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you'll work directly with a doctor, conducting phlebotomy, clinical, and clerical duties. Your expertise will be invaluable in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient care and administrative tasks based on training, education, and competency evaluations.
- Work under the direction of a Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Registered Nurse.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
