Job Overview

Position Title: Behavior Technician

As a Behavior Technician at Behavior Plan Licensed Behavior Analyst, you will be essential in providing structured and therapeutic behavior analysis services in various settings. Your commitment will be crucial in executing behavior intervention plans aimed at improving the quality of life for our clients, enabling them to reach their personal objectives through consistent and empathetic intervention strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement tailored behavior intervention plans under the guidance of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), concentrating on skill enhancement, behavior modification, and social interaction.
  • Accurately collect and record data on client behaviors and progress, facilitating ongoing evaluation and modification of treatment strategies.
  • Foster positive behavioral practices to encourage skill acquisition and support individual aspirations.
  • Transport and manage company-provided materials to and from client locations.
  • Deliver direct support to clients, adhering to the specific directives and strategies established by the supervising BCBA.
  • Address behavioral escalations or urgent situations by following established behavior intervention plans and crisis management protocols.
  • Complete daily session notes and any additional documentation required by the end of each day.
  • Establish and maintain positive, therapeutic relationships with clients and their families, aiding them in their journey toward achieving personal milestones.
  • Assist with assessments, program materials, or other clinical needs to enhance session flow.
  • Attend all scheduled sessions and comply with attendance policies and procedures.
  • Engage in regular supervisory and team meetings to discuss client progress, receive constructive feedback, ensure program fidelity, and learn about new policies and techniques.
  • Adhere to the ethical guidelines and standards of practice set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures diligently.
  • Complete all administrative and billing tasks by designated deadlines.
Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Clinical Director and BCBA/Supervisory staff of direct cases.

Working Conditions

Work Hours:

  • This is a Full-time/Part-Time position with a schedule aligned with the company's operational hours.

  • Holiday work may be available upon mutual agreement between staff and client families, allowing for flexibility and consideration of personal and client needs.
Ongoing Training and Support
  • Behavior Plan is dedicated to the continuous professional development of its staff.
  • Monthly training sessions are conducted to enhance skills, discuss new ABA research, and review best practices.
  • Annual training sessions focus on comprehensive skill development, ethical practices, and advanced ABA techniques.
  • Regular supervision ensures that Behavior Technicians receive the guidance and support necessary to excel in their roles and contribute to a positive team culture.
Work Environment
  • Services are delivered in clients' homes or community settings, such as preschools and after-school programs, to support real-life learning and application.
  • The role requires travel to these locations, providing a dynamic and varied workday that aligns with the natural routines of our clients.
Special Conditions or Requirements
  • Ability to manage and transition between multiple clients daily while maintaining high-quality service and individualized attention.
  • Engagement in additional training to effectively handle severe behavioral issues, employing advanced strategies to manage and mitigate challenging behaviors.
