Job Summary

The Simulation Specialist, Nursing and Allied Health is a key member of the CT State Norwalk team, responsible for providing remedial and learning assistance to students in nursing and allied health programs. This role requires a strong background in nursing and allied health, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement remedial and supplemental tutoring programs to improve student proficiency in nursing and allied health.
  • Teach one or more classes in the assigned discipline, as needed.
  • Work with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population, providing individualized support and guidance.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and Allied Health to develop and implement program goals and objectives.
  • Conduct research and gather data to inform program development and improvement.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in a field closely related to nursing and allied health.
  • At least one year of experience in a related field, including experience in supervision and staff management.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse populations and to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Experience with computer-based instructional technology and budget management.
  • Current, unrestricted R.N. license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least two years of prior full-time employment in clinical practice.
  • Experience with academic and skills assessment methods, remedial and developmental education methods, and adult education techniques.
  • Familiarity with physical and learning disabilities.
