Role Summary:
The U.S. Probation Office for the District of Oregon is seeking qualified candidates for the role of United States Probation Officer. This position will be based in the Portland and/or Salem regions of Oregon.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Probation Officer, you will play a crucial role in the judiciary law enforcement system. Your primary duties will include:
  1. Facilitating the administration of justice and enhancing community safety.
  2. Collecting and analyzing information related to offenders.
  3. Supervising individuals on probation and collaborating with various agencies.
  4. Preparing detailed reports and conducting thorough investigations.
  5. Providing informed recommendations to the Court.
Officers may be assigned to roles focusing on either presentence assessments or ongoing supervision. Additionally, you may oversee the work of Probation Officer Assistants and other support staff. Multiple positions may be available through this announcement.
