Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Community Police Officer to join our team at the City of Portland, OR. As a Community Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, preventing crime, and providing excellent customer service to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol designated areas to prevent and detect crime
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed
  • Investigate crimes and gather evidence
  • Make arrests and issue citations as necessary
  • Build relationships with the community and provide education on crime prevention
Requirements
  • Must be at least 20.5 years old
  • Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or have a valid work visa
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Must have no felony convictions
  • Must have no domestic violence-related convictions

Working Conditions
