Key Responsibilities

The role encompasses field service activities including the installation, initiation, programming, technical assistance, troubleshooting, repair, refurbishment, and urgent service of robotics systems.


Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring that equipment is installed and commissioned in a safe, reliable manner, adhering to time and budget constraints.
  • Traveling to client locations to perform repairs or provide support.
  • Communicating effectively with design engineering, application engineering, training, administration, and clients.
  • Generating detailed and accurate documentation upon completion of assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Providing necessary details to facilitate quotes for paid services.
  • Completing and submitting accurate expense reports for invoicing.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues related to robotics.
  • Conducting preventative maintenance on client robotics systems.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma combined with a minimum of 3 years of technical repair experience in robotics or automation; an Associate's degree or technical certification is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong commitment to safety policies and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for periods of up to two weeks.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Capability to lift up to 55 pounds.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in robot programming.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience in electrical troubleshooting.
