Position: Room Attendant

Location: Aloft Anchorage

The Aloft Anchorage is in search of dedicated individuals to enhance our Housekeeping department.

Role Objective:

The Room Attendant is accountable for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of designated rooms and suites. This role involves reporting any maintenance issues to ensure that all accommodations meet established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect the supply cart and replenish items as necessary.
  • Welcome guests with a warm and sincere greeting.
  • Remove used linens and amenities from rooms and suites.
  • Thoroughly clean assigned rooms and suites, which includes making beds, sanitizing bathrooms, dusting surfaces, vacuuming, and washing windows and tracks. Report rooms as cleaned and ready for occupancy. Notify maintenance of any deficiencies to ensure compliance with hotel standards.
  • Restock linens and guest amenities as required.
  • Clean balconies when applicable.
  • Address special requests from guests, such as providing additional amenities or adjusting service times.
  • Ensure that all rooms and suites adhere to brand cleanliness standards.

Supportive Duties:

In addition to the essential functions, this position may involve performing various supportive tasks as determined by the supervisor based on the company's needs.

  • Deliver customer service to guests, providing information about hotel amenities, activities, and local attractions.
  • Assist colleagues as needed.

Required Skills and Abilities:

The candidate must demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Punctuality and reliability in attendance.
  • Physical capability to move large items such as carts and bags of linen.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners and brooms.
  • Capability to read and recognize room and suite numbers.
  • Effective communication skills with guests and team members.
  • Willingness to learn and uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and the ability to respond to emergencies.

Important Notice:

The hospitality industry operates seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. This role requires a commitment to providing a hospitable service atmosphere at all times.

All associates must comply with company policies and regulations to ensure the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities.
