Job Summary

The Director of Maternal and Child Services will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to deliver optimal nursing care in the Maternal and Child Services department. This role will serve as a key member of the leadership team and will participate in strategy, goal setting, and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and quality of care in the Maternal and Child Services department.
  • Lead and manage a team of nursing staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with physician leaders and other stakeholders to develop and implement service line strategies.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of operational plans and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of related nursing experience, including 3 years of managerial experience in Maternal and Child Services.
  • Masters degree in nursing, public health, or business administration, or RN license with 6 years of nursing management experience.
  • Certified in Executive Nursing Practice within 36 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of operations and healthcare management, Nurse Practice Act, TJC, and other local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
