Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team at Optomec. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for analyzing supplier release schedules, providing documentation and direction for shipment, and proactively assessing supplier Kanban/inventory levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze supplier release schedules and provide documentation and direction for shipment, including shipment dates and scheduling requirements to suppliers.
  • Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to trigger supplier releases and proactively assess supplier Kanban/inventory levels.
  • Monitor backorders and communicate with suppliers to resolve issues.
  • Review purchase requisitions, place orders with approved suppliers, and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Anticipate delays and coordinate recovery plans to meet schedules.
  • Manage working capital and financial risk by optimizing inventory turnover and minimizing exposure to excess and obsolete materials.
  • Develop reports and maintain accurate MRP data, supporting cycle count analysis and corrective actions.
  • Negotiate with suppliers on damage claims, rejections, losses, returns, over shipments, cancellations, and engineering changes.
Requirements
  • Solid experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process, materials, and supply.
  • Working knowledge of Epicor ERP System is a plus.
Salary

$85,000 - $100,000 depending upon experience
