Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Surgical Technology Clinical Specialist serves as a pivotal resource in delivering educational support, research initiatives, coaching, direct patient care, and collaborative leadership within surgical services.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a clinical authority, offering education and guidance to surgical staff and ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Facilitate quality improvement initiatives through the application of clinical knowledge and expertise.
  • Provide direct clinical care as necessary, responding to staffing needs and patient case load.
  • Effectively communicate any patient care concerns, departmental challenges, and staff issues to leadership as required.

Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology Program.


Experience Requirements:

A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an Operating Room setting as a Surgical Technologist.


Licensure/Certification:

Certification as a Surgical Technologist is mandatory. BLS certification is also required.


Additional Skills:

Possession of BLS certification is essential. Demonstrated proficiency in clinical practices is expected.
