Position Overview:

The Clinical Specialist for Leadless Technology serves as the foremost authority on leadless products and therapies in the field. This role encompasses procedural, technical, clinical, educational, and sales leadership to facilitate the safe integration and expansion of Abbott's leadless technology. The Specialist collaborates closely with both internal and external stakeholders to promote therapy adoption and ensure procedural success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver primary case support for initial leadless device implants, leveraging extensive knowledge of best practices, clinical data, and technical product expertise.
  • Collaborate with local sales teams to promote the safe growth of leadless therapy within accounts and transfer technical knowledge to the commercial team.
  • Facilitate national physician training programs, providing hands-on training experiences in partnership with the education team.
  • Establish trusting relationships with physician implanters through demonstrated technical and clinical proficiency.
  • Oversee local educational and training initiatives, including coordination, setup, and content delivery, while facilitating simulated procedures and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in certifying local Abbott personnel and training them on the operation of field-based simulators.
  • Collaborate with Leadless Professional Development peers to achieve shared therapy goals.
  • Complete necessary administrative tasks, such as case tracking and monitoring physician training progress.
  • Provide constructive feedback to internal stakeholders to enhance future customer experiences.
  • Utilize best business practices to ensure effectiveness and cost-efficiency in assigned responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with Abbott's policies and practices among employees.

Equipment Utilization:

Utilizes personal computing devices (desktop and/or laptop), peripheral equipment, cellular phones, and standard office tools. Operates advanced computer-based haptic simulation systems.

Work Environment:

This position involves working from a field office or personal residence, requiring considerable travel and time spent on the road, including the use of personal and commercial transportation.

Physical Requirements:

Job functions necessitate mobility and stamina, involving substantial walking, standing, and sitting; manual dexterity for handling and demonstrating products; and effective communication skills. Lifting requirements typically do not exceed 25 pounds but may occasionally be higher. Clear vision and good depth perception are essential.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience with medical devices, preferably CRM products.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and evaluate complex technological devices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Comfortable navigating medical environments, including labs and hospitals.
  • Proven success in leading and influencing customers with confidence.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with medical device industry policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in commonly used software applications, such as Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for business purposes.

  • Professional training or certification in relevant fields.
  • Previous sales experience or demonstrated business acumen.
