Nursing Assistant/Unit Coordinator/Monitor Tech-Stroke Unit-Variable Shifts

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Professional to join our team at North Mississippi Health Services. As a Nursing Assistant/Unit Coordinator/Monitor Tech on our Stroke Unit, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordination: Effectively coordinate the activities of the nursing unit, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration among team members.
- Clerical: Perform a variety of office, secretarial, and other related duties to support the unit, including managing documents, handling communications, and answering patient requests.
- Patient Care: Provide routine patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including assisting with activities of daily living, coordinating daily patient care activities, and responding to patient requests.
- Inventory Control: Order, stock, and replenish unit supplies and equipment in a cost-efficient manner, participating in budget preparation and ensuring the unit stays within budget restraints.
- Communication: Communicate patient information, concerns, or issues to appropriate team members, facilitating and directing communication among visitors, employees, and physicians within the unit.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, greeting and assisting patients, visitors, and employees in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
- Reporting/Recordkeeping: Facilitate effective communication between disciplines by providing organized medical records, assuring timely and accurate access to patient data, and maintaining unit-specific records.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; certification preferred but not required.
- Skills: Working knowledge of computers and software programs, excellent organizational and communication skills, and knowledge of medical terminology and rhythm interpretation preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a nursing unit or similar role.
