Position Overview

The Strategic Account Executive will play a pivotal role in the growth and enhancement of our Private Label division within Cornerstone Building Brands. This position is essential for the strategic planning and execution of initiatives aimed at maintaining our competitive edge, improving profit margins, and streamlining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of 30 to 50 accounts within the designated segment.
  • Manage revenue responsibilities ranging from $30M to $60M, with a focus on increasing both revenue and profit margins.

Core Duties:

The Strategic Account Executive is tasked with formulating strategic plans for all accounts in the portfolio to align with corporate objectives. This includes conducting comprehensive analyses of account performance metrics such as Gross Margin, Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), Total Cost to Serve, Freight, Order Automation, SKU Rationalization, and Share of Wallet. The successful execution of these strategic sales plans will be integral to the objectives of Cornerstone Building Brands, fostering both sales growth and enhanced customer satisfaction.

  • Develop and implement an annual sales strategy that aligns with the overarching goals of the organization.
  • Lead the execution of sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Employ account management techniques to enhance profitability.
  • Ensure that communications are synchronized, supporting sales objectives while adhering to budgetary constraints in collaboration with marketing.
  • Formulate strategies to achieve year-over-year revenue and margin growth within the account portfolio.
  • Deliver value and differentiation to ensure sustainable growth across accounts.
  • Advise on sales strategies for improvement based on market insights and competitive analysis.
  • Lead integration initiatives to support an aggressive mergers and acquisitions strategy.
  • Foster a sales culture that prioritizes exceptional customer service.
  • Function effectively as an individual contributor while positively influencing colleagues through leadership.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with CRM practices and the ability to cultivate productive professional relationships.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales leadership or strategic account management is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in technical product sales are preferred, with equivalent experience in a similar industry being advantageous.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to lead effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Proven ability to influence leadership to embrace new ideas and approaches.
  • A demonstrated history of leading teams to execute strategies and achieve outstanding results.
  • Remote work capability is acceptable, with regular travel anticipated to support business needs.
