PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core Responsibilities Include:
Facilitating the processing of applications, policies, endorsements, and other documentation essential for client service, with the support of an Assistant Client Manager. Conducting thorough research to address client inquiries regarding policies, coverage options, and exclusions.
Collaborating with Senior Client Managers and Producers to ensure comprehensive client service. Managing client accounts with the guidance of Client Executives, including in-depth analysis of policy and contractual matters. Implementing routine policy modifications as necessary.Establishing and nurturing relationships with client decision-makers and support teams. Overseeing the renewal process, including exposure analysis and strategic discussions with Producers or Client Executives and clients regarding marketing decisions. Conducting market comparisons, evaluating quotes, and negotiating premium and commission rates to secure optimal outcomes for clients.
Preparing proposals and ensuring the accuracy of insurance binders while providing necessary support to Producers and Client Executives, including the preparation of presentations and participation in client meetings.Managing billing processes and providing standard administrative support. Ensuring timely processing of automatic renewals and conducting contract reviews to advise clients on insurance language and indemnification requirements.
Compiling and managing information related to account renewals, cross-selling opportunities, and providing monthly reports on client and carrier information as needed. Overseeing policy checks and ensuring timely delivery of documents within established timelines.
Consistently fostering high levels of trust and confidence with clients through proactive communication and prompt resolution of inquiries.
Handling all aspects of client policy servicing, including applications, endorsements, and audits, with precision and efficiency. Educating clients on policy coverage, changes, and insurance needs while assisting them in making necessary coverage adjustments.
Maintaining high standards for invoicing and documentation within the Agency Management System, ensuring all activities are properly recorded. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
MARKETING AND BROKERAGE:
In collaboration with the Sales Team, defining strategies that encompass coverage determination, pricing targets, and marketing approaches. Gathering renewal exposure data and preparing comprehensive submissions, including applications and loss run summaries.
Engaging in professional negotiations with underwriters and wholesalers to secure favorable premiums and commissions. Supporting the sales process by preparing proposals and providing technical assistance as required.
Working closely with the Sales Team to refer clients to EPIC's Employee Benefits and Private Client Departments for additional service offerings.
Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT:
Setting priorities and managing workflows to ensure the efficient and accurate execution of responsibilities. Maintaining effective relationships with clients, colleagues, carriers, and vendors.
Keeping up-to-date documentation, including proposals and workflow logs, and effectively communicating with others to achieve business objectives.
Staying informed about industry trends, product developments, and technological advancements to enhance knowledge and performance.
Demonstrating the ability to resolve issues and improve service promptly while adapting to a fast-paced work environment.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
Potentially overseeing the responsibilities of Assistant Client Managers and contributing to their professional development in the insurance field.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
Comprehensive knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance lines and familiarity with energy insurance coverages. Strong analytical skills to assess situations and draw informed conclusions.
Experience with Agency Management Systems and a solid understanding of industry operations are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and multitasking abilities are crucial. The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team is necessary.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for success in this role.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for a college degree or insurance designations. A minimum of 7 years of experience in a retail brokerage environment is preferred, particularly in specialized Energy, Renewable, and Marine insurance lines.
Proficiency in various Microsoft Office applications is necessary, along with the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
High interpersonal skills are required to manage sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
CERTIFICATIONS:
Property and Casualty Broker License and a valid Driver's License are required.
