Manufacturing Engineering and Process Development Specialist

**Job Summary**
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our team at Crane Aerospace & Electronics in Lynnwood, WA. As an intern, you will develop knowledge about the business through exposure to functional areas such as manufacturing, engineering, and lean principles. You will focus on developing essential skills by assisting employees with day-to-day job assignments, handling projects or tasks normally performed by entry-level professionals, and providing Operations support for the New Product Introduction Process.
**Essential Functions**
- Assist in creation of production cell layouts and workstation configurations.
- Develop lean manufacturing processes for new products.
- Create standard work instructions.
- Perform quantitative analysis for capacity planning and cost comparison.
- Support coordination of documentation and materials required to support hardware deliveries.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills in a team environment.
- Show project-oriented skills with ability to multi-task.
- Knowledge/proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Ability to commit to a one quarter or semester internship commitment, 40 hours per week.
**Salary and Benefits**
We offer a competitive salary range of $24.00 to $27.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including access to Controlled Data or Information, eligibility for US Persons only, and adherence to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Working conditions are normal for an office/lab environment, with requirements for safety equipment and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
