About the Role:

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking a skilled Field Services Engineer I to join our team in Lynnwood, WA. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for supporting and resolving product issues quickly and efficiently, providing technical support and training for end-users, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and troubleshoot Airline and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customer technical inquiries
  • Develop training materials for end-user customers and provide onsite and off-site training
  • Perform detailed failure analysis and write reports
  • SUPPORT new product Entry into Service (EIS) programs
  • SUPPORT in-service evaluations, aircraft certification, and integration testing; Participate in various on-wing tests, monitor and resolve complex technical in-service issues, and provide design engineers with product feedback
  • Write reports and manage inter-company communications
  • Maintain knowledge of CFR, FAR, SFARs (Federal Aviation Regulations)
  • Maintain knowledge of outside agencies such as FAA, NTSB, ICAO, JAA, EASA, and their services
  • SUPPORT Product Development Phase (PDP) Process
  • Participate in Program Design Review (PDRs) and on-going status reviews

Requirements:

  • Experience: 0-2 years relevant work experience
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of the airline industry, airline products, airline support requirements, and regulatory requirements; Working knowledge of aircraft and shop-level maintenance; Working knowledge of MS Projects; Working knowledge of Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS); Understands fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of assigned product or program; Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Skills/Abilities: Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Education/Certification: BA or BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related technical discipline; OR Associate's Degree from a two-year college & 4+ years of relevant work experience

  • Salary: $81,100.00 - $96,200.00 per year
