As an Employee Benefits Legal Counsel at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, you will be immersed in intricate and rewarding ERISA-related legal matters for clients across various sectors. The ideal candidate will possess over three years of experience in employee benefits law, demonstrating a solid understanding of retirement plans, health and welfare plans, Taft-Hartley benefit plans, and executive compensation structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex legal cases and provide ongoing client communication.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to support case development.
- Draft and review legal documents related to employee benefits.
- Utilize advanced technological tools and practice management systems.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited institution.
- Active license to practice law in Ohio.
- A minimum of three years of professional experience in ERISA law.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Maintain confidentiality and work independently.
