Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor for our esteemed client. This is a full-time permanent position that offers a unique chance to lead pharmacy clinical initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and evaluate medication therapy plans for potential interactions, contraindications, and appropriateness of prescriptions.
  • Provide expert clinical advice and recommendations to healthcare professionals, suggesting effective and economical therapeutic options.
  • Maintain the hospital's formulary, reducing the need for nonformulary medications through therapeutic interchanges and promoting rational medication use.
  • Conduct drug utilization reviews to enhance medication therapy and develop action plans based on findings.
  • Deliver precise and timely medication information to both healthcare staff and patients.
  • Design, implement, and oversee pharmacy clinical programs, including drug consultations, nutritional support, and anticoagulation management.
  • Lead the analysis and reporting of adverse drug reactions and medication errors, contributing to pharmacy quality improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor pharmacy staff in their roles and responsibilities.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support personnel effectively.
  • Engage with nursing and medical staff committees as required.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Pharmacy Clinical/Operations Specialist.
  • At least five years of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is required.
  • Management experience in a hospital pharmacy is preferred.
  • Completion of a pharmacy residency or fellowship is advantageous.
  • Active pharmacist license in good standing with the relevant state board.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and pharmacy management software is essential.
