Position Summary:
We are looking for a committed and skilled Pediatric Pharmacy Clinical Manager to oversee pediatric pharmacy operations. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing pharmacy services tailored for pediatric patients, ensuring the delivery of effective medication therapy. This role encompasses clinical, administrative, and leadership duties, necessitating a profound knowledge of pediatric pharmacotherapy, exceptional management capabilities, and a dedication to patient safety and quality healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage clinical pharmacy services for pediatric patients, guaranteeing safe and effective medication therapy.
- Collaborate with pediatric healthcare professionals to enhance medication therapy and improve patient outcomes.
- Conduct medication therapy management, including reviews, dosing modifications, and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Develop and enforce evidence-based clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Supervise pediatric pharmacy personnel, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and accreditation standards relevant to pediatric pharmacy services.
- Participate in financial planning and management for the pediatric pharmacy department.
- Monitor and enhance medication use processes, including formulary management and safety initiatives.
- Provide education and training to pharmacy staff, healthcare providers, and patients regarding pediatric pharmacotherapy.
- Mentor pharmacy students and residents, supporting their professional growth.
- Stay updated with advancements in pediatric pharmacotherapy and integrate new knowledge into practice.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing medication safety and patient outcomes.
- Collect and analyze data related to medication therapy outcomes and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Implement strategies to minimize medication errors and enhance overall patient care.

Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency; PGY2 pediatric pharmacy residency preferred.
- Current pharmacist license in the state of practice.
- Board certification in Pediatric Pharmacy (BCPPS) preferred.
- A minimum of three years of clinical pharmacy experience in a pediatric environment.
- Strong leadership and management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
