Position Summary:

The Building Custodian is essential in ensuring that our office facilities are maintained to the highest standards. This role involves a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to create a welcoming and hygienic environment for both employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all common areas, including lobbies, conference rooms, and break rooms.
  • Regularly clean and restock restrooms and break rooms to ensure a pleasant experience for all.
  • Manage waste disposal by emptying, cleaning, and relining waste receptacles and recycling bins.
  • Perform cleaning duties for desks and cubicles as needed.
  • Sanitize and maintain kitchen appliances, including refrigerators and microwaves.
  • Ensure all surfaces, including countertops and hard surfaces, are disinfected and sanitized.
  • Vacuum and spot clean carpets and mats to maintain a tidy appearance.
  • Clean and maintain interior glass and mirrors, ensuring a clear and professional look.
  • Monitor and replenish supplies such as toiletries and paper products in restrooms and kitchens.
  • Conduct regular floor cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting.
  • Communicate maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel promptly.
  • Dust and polish metal surfaces to uphold a professional environment.
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Act as a backup for corporate services as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Less than one year of relevant experience is required.
  • Fluency in English is necessary.
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, employees will be required to sit, walk, and stand regularly, with occasional bending or twisting. They must be able to communicate effectively in person and via telephone, operate standard office equipment, and lift up to 25 pounds. The role may involve exposure to various weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
