Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at MedTeam Staffing. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting and processing blood and other specimens for laboratory testing. You will work closely with our medical team to ensure accurate and efficient specimen collection and processing.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and process blood and other specimens for laboratory testing
- Label and centrifuge specimens as required
- Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes
- Package specimens for transport
- Store specimen samples according to required temperature
- Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations
- Attend annual department trainings
- Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries
Requirements:
- Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed
- Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- High School Diploma or GED
