Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Inside Account Manager who embodies our enthusiasm for continuous learning and the application of cutting-edge technology to tackle intricate challenges. This role involves regular interaction with our clientele, fostering relationships that are crucial for business growth. Your success will be evaluated based on achieving sales targets while surpassing customer expectations, collaborating with Outside Account Managers to enhance your skills and career trajectory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain customer relationships essential for a high-performing sales team and ensure account continuity.
  • Process customer Requests for Quotes (RFQ) and Purchase Orders (PO) efficiently.
  • Manage customer requirements, including follow-ups on quotes and expedited purchase orders.
  • Lead sales forecasting efforts, analyze account sales data, and promote sales initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Outside Account Managers and Project Managers to determine profitability, inventory recommendations, and pricing strategies for key accounts.
  • Review and enhance work processes to comply with internal and external quality standards.
  • Explore innovative and practical alternatives to increase AWC's success in closing orders at improved margins.

Qualifications

  • Team-oriented individual capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, high energy, and accountability.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Availability for after-hours and weekend support as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (4-year) or a 2-year technical degree, preferably in Engineering.
  • 2-5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Electrical and Automation products, including PLCs, I/Os, Safety Devices, Enclosures, Motor Starters, Variable Frequency Drives, Pneumatics, Sensors, and Panelboards.
  • Fundamental understanding of electricity, panel design/wiring, and manufacturing/OEM experience.
