Job Title: Sous Chef

At Omni Grove Park Inn, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for the efficient and effective running of the kitchen and food production outlets.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Restaurant Chef to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygienic practice throughout the kitchen.
  • Manage a team of culinary, servers, and stewarding staff to deliver exceptional food quality and service.
  • Oversee the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the restaurant unit, ensuring seamless operations and high customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance evaluation, to ensure a motivated and productive team.
Requirements:
  • AAS in Culinary Arts or equivalent from an accredited University or Institute.
  • Three to five years of previous culinary experience in a high-production kitchen.
  • Strong organizational, management, culinary, communication, and motivational skills.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of the Food & Beverage/Hospitality industry control procedures.
  • Strong background in analytical cost efficiency kitchen management, regional cuisine, and proper production & presentation methods.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and taste or smell.
  • Servesafe Sanitation certification; ACF Certified preferred.
