Your Role and Responsibilities

The mission of an Associate Technology Seller at IBM is to expedite the integration of IBM technology through clear use-cases and expertise, ensuring competitive advantage in direct client engagements, collaboration with IBM account teams, and through our sales ecosystem partners.

Your primary focus will be on identifying and establishing new executive-level relationships within accounts.

With a strong executive presence, you will earn the trust and respect of clients, positioning yourself as their strategic technology partner.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Prospecting and Lead Generation:

Proactively identify and qualify new business opportunities through various prospecting methods such as social media outreach, networking, email, cold calling, and leveraging IBM & industry events.


Account Penetration:

Develop and implement strategies to penetrate accounts with limited or no existing relationships, building a robust pipeline of potential opportunities.


Relationship Building:
Cultivate valuable relationships with key client stakeholders.

Addressing Clients' Business Needs:
Demonstrated ability to address clients' business requirements using in-depth technology and industry insights.

Effective Communication:

Exceptional communication skills, with the capacity to articulate a client journey map for disruptive innovation based on firsthand experiences, best practices, and market trends.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Tech Sales Success:
Proven track record in technology sales, particularly in acquiring new clients.

Prospecting Skills:

Demonstrated proficiency in modern prospecting techniques, including social selling, email marketing, cold calling, and utilizing digital tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Salesforce).


Business Acumen and Communication Skills:
Strong business acumen paired with effective communication skills.
