Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Pharmaceutical Growth Strategist is a critical member of the Trade Strategy team, which is responsible for leveraging CVS Health's size and scale to create differentiated, one-of-a-kind solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturers. This high-visibility position supports the Lead Director, Pharmaceutical Growth in articulating the vision and strategy of pharma-facing initiatives, developing business cases, managing external relationships, and executing new initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stay ahead of relevant trends in healthcare and form and defend opinions on where CVS Health is best positioned to win.
  • Create business cases for top ideas and incubate and launch big bets.
  • Develop analyses, presentations, and support material to successfully recommend strategy or change initiatives.
  • Manage external relationships and execute new initiatives.
  • Provide thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders and be comfortable in ambiguous environments.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Strategy and/or Corporate Development within healthcare, with a focus on expertise and experience working in the PBM or pharmaceutical segments.
  • 5+ years of experience developing analyses, presentations, and support material to successfully recommend strategy or change initiatives.
  • 3+ years of experience with healthcare external client management, preferably in Pharma.
  • Ability to generate new ideas and approaches for targeting, generating, and delivering value.
  • Experience providing thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders and being comfortable in ambiguous environments.
  • Mature oral and written communication and entrepreneurial skillsets; intermediate MS Office skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities at once.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience developing analyses, presentations, and support material to successfully recommend strategy or change initiatives and ability to generate new ideas and new potential deals.
  • Demonstrated leadership and collaborative skills with success building and leading integrated, multi-functional teams in an agile, fast-paced environment; Strong executive presence.
  • Experience in bringing new, 'non-traditional' ideas to leadership to obtain buy-in.
  • Experience developing strong relationships across an organization and with relevant external constituents.
  • At least 3 years of experience in managed care which may include PBM, Pharma, market access, account management, specialty pharmacy, or health plan experience.
  • MBA or Management consulting experience.

Education

Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is $67,174,200.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
