Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Texas Back Institute. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing clinical support to our healthcare team and ensuring that our patients receive high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and manage patient appointments, ensuring timely and efficient care.
  • Verify patient insurance and demographics, and collect co-payments and personal balances.
  • Perform administrative duties, including answering phones, entering charges, and maintaining patient records.
  • Assist nursing staff with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and collecting patient specimens.
  • Provide patient education and support, and promote a positive patient experience.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.

Requirements

  • One year of Medical Assisting experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Medical Assistant Certification (NCRMA, ABR, RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or OE) or ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
