Your Responsibilities:
As a Field Parts Sales Representative, your primary role will involve driving business growth within your designated territory. This will be achieved through the development and maintenance of customer relationships and the identification of new sales opportunities. You will spend a significant portion of your time engaging with clients outside the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquiring a thorough understanding of VVG products and pricing structures.
  • Identifying potential leads, managing prospects, and securing new business.
  • Conducting visits to current customers and seeking out new prospects.
  • Coordinating parts orders with inside sales personnel.
  • Aiming to meet or surpass new business sales targets.
  • Engaging in prospecting activities to arrange initial and follow-up meetings with key decision-makers.
  • Documenting and scheduling all sales activities.
  • Preparing necessary sales documentation and paperwork to facilitate prompt transactions.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitive behaviors, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Regularly consulting with the sales supervisor to discuss weekly activities, progress towards goals, and the status of potential clients.
  • Communicating any special customer requirements to parts staff.
  • Following up on parts orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Acting as a representative for VVG in public relations matters.
  • Maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Addressing customer complaints and providing effective conflict resolution.
  • Visiting clients to uphold and enhance customer relationships.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in service or parts departments within the trucking sector.
  • Experience as a technician is preferred.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Exceptional customer service capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must successfully pass a post-offer drug screening.

Compensation Structure:
