Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Student Services Specialist Senior to join our team at GateWay Community College. This exciting role provides one-stop student support services for the college in the areas of admissions, records, and registration. The successful candidate will serve a diverse population of students, staff, faculty, and community members in all areas of enrollment services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the back office workflow, including incoming/outgoing transcripts, graduation processing, eForms, and National Student Clearinghouse.
  • Provide support to call center functions and staff, addressing concerns and resolving problems.
  • Compose and prepare correspondence and reports, monitoring quality assurance to ensure accuracy of completed transactions.
  • Assist new and continuing students in person, over the phone, and via email in all student services processes, including admissions, registration, financial aid, and referrals to other related student services functions.
  • Train and prepare training materials for new and current contact center staff, distribute CRM leads, and run CRM reports.
  • Provide direct student assistance with enrollment functions, such as admissions, registration, residency, enrollment verifications, and more.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of student services or college teaching experience, or equivalent experience in educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.
  • OR High School Diploma/GED and four years of student services or college teaching experience, or equivalent experience in educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of experience working in a One-Stop Enrollment Services and/or Admissions & Records Office.
  • One or more years of experience working with Peoplesoft (Student Information System).
  • One or more years of experience compiling data and providing reports.
  • Experience maintaining, applying, and communicating policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • One year of demonstrated leadership experience coordinating and/or leading project management and/or workflow.
  • One or more years of experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
