Job Summary

South Mountain Community College is seeking a dedicated front-facing staff member to collaborate with students, faculty, and staff in planning, coordinating, and facilitating educational opportunities. Responsibilities include assisting with the enrollment process, conducting outreach for programs, and contributing to recruitment and retention efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide student support services, including FAFSA workshops, pre-advisement, and admissions assistance.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as answering student inquiries, serving as the first point of contact, and maintaining communication with both current and prospective students.
  • Maintain continuous communication with faculty to ensure seamless student access and retention strategies.
  • Build and sustain relationships with community partners to foster outreach and recruitment opportunities.
  • Support the Hoop of Learning Program through collaboration with high school partners, tribal communities, and the District Office.
  • Serve as the lead for part-time employees, ensuring weekly progress towards institutional and student success goals.

Requirements:

An Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and one (1) year full-time of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs. OR High School Diploma/GED and three (3) years full-time of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.
