Job Summary

This Control Room Supervisor position plays a critical role in the remote operational control of multiple saltwater disposal facilities and pipelines. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of daily field operations, while also ensuring the highest level of safety and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct the activities of assigned staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Coordinate and prioritize tasks and projects to meet business objectives.
  • Generate reports and present information to stakeholders, including management and field personnel.
  • Compile and present KPI data to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Track and review work progress and activities to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Undertake disciplinary action as required and conduct performance evaluations to ensure employee development.
  • Coordinate scheduling of staff to ensure proper operational coverage and identify needs for training and development.
  • Oversee operations to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
  • Train and mentor staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Cover shifts for staff, even on days off, if required to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the team by offering suggestions and participating in work teams.
  • Perform duties of Control Room Operator as required to ensure seamless operations.
  • Oversee and perform administrative details, such as approving employee time and keeping reference materials up to date.
  • Conduct virtual and onsite visits to liaison between the field and control room.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in a related field, such as Lease Operator, Artificial Lift Technician, I/E Technician, or Control Room Operator.
  • 5-10 years of experience with SCADA systems.
  • 3-5 years of proven leadership experience, including managing a team of 8-10 direct reports.
  • Ability to be the subject matter expert in the day-to-day operations of the control room.
  • Ability to work at every console without issue.
  • Ability to cover shifts on non-scheduled days.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of flexibility and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel frequently to field locations.
  • General administrative management experience to manage reports, presentations, employee scheduling, KPI's, advance project management, analyses, and modeling skills.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiencies in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership in a team environment and serve as a mentor or trainer.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to show proven ethical decision making and ownership of actions.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with management and field personnel.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to perform all job functions as an Operator and Supervisor with a high level of integrity.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to daily tasks and issues.
  • Ability to take direction and successfully execute the vision of the Control Room Director.
