Lead Radiology Technologist Job Description

The Lead Radiologic Technologist plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient coordination of activities, high-quality diagnostic exam results, and optimum quality control in our radiology department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with radiologists, clinicians, and clerical staff to ensure seamless coordination of activities.
  • Evaluates critical and emergency procedures, rearranging schedules as needed.
  • Provides technical and professional services as delegated by the Radiology Manager.
  • Assists the Radiology Manager on a daily basis and may be assigned to other duties if deemed adequate by the supervisor.
  • Gives input to the Supervisor concerning room and staff schedules.
  • Provides comments and observations regarding team members' performance, conduct, and skills to the Supervisor.
  • Participates in the selection of candidates and completes the skills checklist for new hires.
  • In the absence of the Supervisor, serves as primary contact for technologists' questions or issues.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a program for Radiologic Technologists.
  • ARRT registered.
  • TMB registered.
  • Previous hospital ER experience required.
  • CT experience and skills required.
  • Current CPR BLS required.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • High degree of empathetic listening, tact, and kindness toward others.
  • Ability to ensure work flow is organized and efficient.
  • Ability to communicate well verbally and work effectively as a member of a team.
  • Previous experience in scheduling, payroll, and training preferred.
