Tasty Restaurant Group Maintenance Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Tasty Restaurant Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant equipment, allowing our teams to provide exceptional food and service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on kitchen and refrigeration equipment, including walk-in freezers, industrial-sized steam cookers, refrigerators, ice machines, ovens, and dishwashers.
  • Conduct regular inspections, cleaning, and servicing of equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Log and complete work requests in our work order management system, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of maintenance issues.
  • Install new equipment, repair leaks, and ensure proper settings and wiring controls.
  • Collaborate with maintenance workers, company officials, and staff to provide effective solutions to maintenance problems.
  • Respond promptly to emergency calls and after-hours requests for equipment repair.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Profound knowledge of kitchen and refrigeration equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Outstanding soldering and brazing skills, with experience working with oxygen and propane.
  • Strong ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams and follow operation and installation manuals.
  • Ability to apply equipment safely and efficiently, and maintain and service them.
  • Exceptional ability to work independently, take responsibility for equipment repair, and prioritize tasks for increased job delivery.
  • Ability to investigate problems, identify issues, and correct them.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong keyboarding and basic computer skills.
  • Refrigerant transition and recovery certification.
  • Repair and maintenance experience in commercial kitchen or dining service field.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing repair and installation practices and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of basic electrical practices, theory, and safety.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration practices and theory.
