Key Responsibilities- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety, environmental standards, and confidentiality.
- Work safely and effectively, recognizing potential issues before they escalate.
- Diagnose and repair large mining machinery both in the field and in the workshop.
- Interpret schematics, service manuals, and other technical documents.
- Meet or exceed performance expectations set by management.
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion in all job functions.
- Maintain punctuality and regular attendance.
- Complete work orders and service reports accurately and thoroughly.
- Assist in the development of team members in their roles.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Extensive mechanical knowledge is essential.
- Preferred experience of 4-5 years in heavy equipment repair.
- Strong skills in troubleshooting and failure analysis.
- Willingness to work overtime on short notice.
- A diploma in diesel technology is preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of equipment, including forklifts and service trucks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- General understanding of mining operations, with some knowledge of milling and maintenance.
- Proficient in using PC software for word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, and persuasive skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Demonstrated administrative, organizational, and technical writing skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
- A valid driver's license is required.
This position reports directly to the ALPM Shop Supervisor.
Legislative RequirementsA valid US work permit is required.
