Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Manager to join our team at Raftelis. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and directing the routine HR functions of the HR department, including talent acquisition, employee relations, employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, compensation and benefits administration, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of HR Professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and strong working relationships.
  • Provide direction, development, and support to employees, including providing feedback on development goals, regular feedback and coaching, and completing the performance appraisal process.
  • Oversee the workflow of the HR Department, prioritizing tasks and delegating as appropriate.
  • Manage and oversee the entire talent acquisition process, including firm branding, qualified candidate sourcing, job posting creation and advertising, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related issues, providing support and guidance on complex and sensitive questions and issues.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and programs that promote a positive environment, including leading/conducting employee surveys, stay interviews, employee check-ins, etc.
  • Manage and drive the performance management process, including the annual development goal setting process, mid-year check-in process, and annual performance appraisal process.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers and employees on performance-related issues.
  • Oversee the new hire orientation process, promote current learning and development opportunities firm-wide, and assess, design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning programs.
  • Oversee the administration of employee compensation and benefit programs, including medical insurance, retirement plans, etc.
  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits and make recommendations based on learning.
  • Maintain partnerships with external vendors and leverage resources offered.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles and practices, knowledge of employment laws and regulations, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership and management abilities, ability to act with integrity and professionalism, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the firm's HRIS, Performance Management systems, and ATS.
Desirable Experience
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • HR Certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR).
