Enterprise Desktop Support Specialist

Software Guidance and Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is seeking an experienced Enterprise Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support for our enterprise desktop technology domain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert-level support for enterprise desktop technology, including Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and other related software.
  • Maintain and administer existing enterprise desktop technology hardware and software.
  • Participate in projects to implement new enterprise desktop technologies and improve existing ones.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and knowledge transfer to other IT staff and technology users.
  • Evaluate and recommend new or improved methods, tools, or systems for enterprise desktop technology.
  • Collaborate with business units to analyze and improve desktop applications, technology, and implementation approaches.
  • Lead projects that utilize or affect enterprise systems resources.
  • Interact with employees at all levels and collaborate with other IT departments.
  • Interact with outside consulting firms, software vendors, and technical personnel in other organizations.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least six years of demonstrated technical experience in supporting or administering a relevant technology in a medium-sized corporate environment.
  • College degree may be considered in lieu of four years of comparable related experience.
  • Enterprise-level certification may be considered in lieu of experience or education requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory, and Windows Server operating systems (2008, 2012, 2016, 2019).
  • Working knowledge of advanced enterprise technology components, including 3rd-level IT escalation support, workstation administration, Microsoft desktop technology products, system center configuration manager, and software package development.
Preferred Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field.
