Adams and Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Contract Accounting Manager to provide financial oversight and guidance to our regional Finance departments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and producing financial tools and reports to improve our financial performance and respond to government requests for financial information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide financial oversight and guidance to regional Finance departments, including support, technical assistance, and training.
- Travel to regional offices as required to fill temporary vacancies, provide problem resolution, and conduct finance training.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our financial systems and tasks.
- Review and assist in evaluations of Finance staff.
- Assist with Finance staff training and development, including holding staff accountable for performance and timeliness.
- Develop and review financial reports to support budget management and control.
- Compile monthly summaries of contract financial performance for senior management review.
- Assist with other Finance Department staff to improve productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Develop special reports to provide timely and relevant analyses for decision-making.
- Provide detailed review of financial reports to senior management.
Requirements:
We are seeking a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or related business field) and 3-plus years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance. The ideal candidate will be analytically adept, computer literate with excellent spreadsheet proficiency, and possess excellent organizational and writing skills. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon) and PayCom is desired. Job Corps and supervisory experience are preferred.
