This role primarily entails a hybrid work schedule - remote work on Mondays and Fridays, with on-site presence required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.


A Business Application Specialist is a vital member of the Solution Support team, focusing on the reliability, performance, maintainability, and optimization of business applications.

To excel in this role, a Business Application Specialist must possess extensive experience in supporting and configuring mission-critical software applications.


Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business units and application teams to support solutions and execute projects.

Work in tandem with software scrum teams to implement software enhancements, introduce new functionalities, and maintain various software solutions.

Efficiently administer and configure business solutions developed on application server technology.

Comprehend the capabilities and features of solutions and apply them effectively to business processes and requirements.

Conduct software installations.

Experience in patching and upgrading solutions from earlier versions.

Perform troubleshooting tasks.

Familiarity with software deployment tools.

Provide Level 2 Operational Support, including off-hours incident response.

The Business Application Specialist will escalate issues to vendor support for third-level assistance.

Automate manual processes.

Responsible for documenting root cause analyses.

Analyze, prioritize, and resolve incoming incidents and alerts.

Adhere to the enterprise change management process to deploy thoroughly tested and documented solutions/applications to a production environment.

Assist in the review of runbooks.

Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying priorities.

Self-driven, innovative, and capable of collaborating across diverse technical and non-technical teams.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in administering software applications.

Proficient knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems; SQL, and Oracle databases.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in troubleshooting application-related issues.

Familiarity with DevOps and delivery tools (GitHub).

Practical experience with configuration tools such as Ansible.

Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience in administering Pega applications is advantageous.

Experience supporting business applications operating in AWS or Azure cloud environments.
